Come
join me, Capt. Tim White, on an angling adventure in the pristine
waters of southwest Florida. Covering areas such as Charlotte
Harbor, Pine Island, Boca Grande, and any territory in between,
we will target hard fighting redfish, acrobatic snook, aerial
tarpon, and many more species that may be biting in these waters.
We are home to world famous Boca Grande Pass which holds the elusive
silver king during the late spring and early summer months. The
key to Charlotte Harbor, is that the body of water holds tarpon
well into the late summer and fall months, for those who want
to get away from the crowds and sight cast to pods of rolling
fish. Many redfish and snook can be found underneath the endless
miles of mangroves, and the never ending grass flats are home
to speckled trout year round. Whatever it may be, just about any
style of fishing can be done including the open water flats, mangroves,
middle harbor(tarpon, jacks, cobia, mackerel), live bait, artificial,
shallow water stalking, sight casting, flipping docks in canal
systems, inshore wrecks and reefs, bridges, and more, Charlotte
Harbor just about has it all. From the beginner to the most skilled
angler, Capt. Tim can suite anyone's needs from giving experienced
instruction to teaching certain techniques of fishing. He enjoys
taking kids on the boat and taking the time to give
proper instruction about the sport. For the already skilled angler,
his personality and fun spirit will make you feel like your fishing
with one of your old buddies
About Captain Tim White
Captain
Tim White was born and raised fishing in southwest Florida. Early
on, he learned the mechanics of using a rod and reel through bass
fishing in freshwater lakes. To this day, he still fishes
for bass in freshwater consistently, never forgetting what started
his passion of the sport. He has competed in many bass tournaments
throughout central Florida and even has a few wins behind his
belt. Though freshwater fishing may be where it began for
him, his passion is truly in the world of saltwater fishing. Capt.
Tim caught his first saltwater fish(a sheepshead) at the age of
seven while fishing canals with his Dad and grandpa. From
that point on his love for the sport grew and has now turned into
an obsession. He has experience fishing on the water not
only in SW Florida for almost 15 years, but in the shallows of
the Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River for almost 5 years. Capt.
Tim learned the new techniques of shallow water fishing poling
the flats of the Mosquito Lagoon and the IRL during that 5 year
period. With the vast differences in fishing styles
of the two places he calls home, he has acquired many different
skills for technique and styles of fishing, and has become an
artificial and sight fishing specialist. He has used the
different styles to expand his horizons in the deeper waters of
SW Florida. Along with bass tournaments, Capt. Tim also competes
in saltwater tournaments which usually consist of 80 boats or
more. His teams have placed well over the years with some
top tens, some more top 20 finishes, and a win. When winter
comes, and the water falls in Charlotte Harbor, he still feels
right at home stalking the shallow flats and finding the fish.
His love and passion for the water can be seen in one trip
with him, and he will strive to show you what he has grown to
love about the waters he has fished for most of his life.
Capt.
Tims Boat
Capt. Tim charters out of a 2005 Ranger 169 Ghost. This boat is
built for skinny water fishing, but can handle open water as well.
It has a Yamaha 90 horsepower outboard motor, trim tabs, jack
plate, MotorGuide trolling motor, color Humminbird GPS/fishfinder,
and most importantly a poling platform to stalk the skinny water
during the winter months. Capt. Tim can take 1-2 persons on the
boat for a day of fishing. He specializes in shallow water trips
during the winter months, poling his clients on shallow grass
flats while targeting tailing redfish, trout, and snook. The boat
does have two good size livewells to hold bait for spring and
summer time fishing the rest of the year. And on calm days, can
be used to tarpon fish in the harbor. The boat is also equipped
with a power pole for maximum boat control and to hold the boat
in one place securely when needing to stop the boat quickly.
